Fantastic Thrift Store Find

I'd been lamenting for a long time how bare Aidan's walls are. I've wanted some cute artwork for his room for a long time but nothing appealed or looked mass produced. Or it would be outrageously expensive.

Well, at this huge thriftstore Golf, Aidan and I went to on Saturday, I found this Goodnight Moon picture, with intact frame, matting and glass. The actual print was askew, but that I can fix with no problem. The frame also had some scratching and the two lower corners weren't completely together, but hardly noticeable. I cut open the picture and taped the print onto the matting correctly and cleaned the glass on both sides. I also sanded the frame to give it a distressed look, eliminating the scratches!

The result looks so nice and appropriate for a boy's room. I don't want transportation vehicles or sports themes for Aidan, and so much decorations out there are for girls, so to find something like this was very exciting. Here's what it looks like:

Hey Amy,

That's so cute - what a great print for Aidan. Good job on the sanding too :-)
