We went to the Social Security office today to change my married name and get the baby his SSN. The wait was hardly anything, a pleasing surprise, and Aidan was a good boy. Processing our request went smoothly and now we just have to wait for a couple weeks til both cards come in the mail. I've gone from Ms. S with seven letters to Mrs. P with sixteen letters and five syllables! WOOO HOO!
"Just call me Mrs. P!"

Congratulations! And now on to the DMV... don't forget any other legal paperwork that might be in your old name, like anything with the INS. It is a pain, but it's a happy pain to change your name to your married one. ;)
Mrs. P (tee hee, I'm a 5 year old).
On a serious note, though, congratulations!
congrats!!
so i take it you got married while you were in thailand?
i went the opposite direction w/ my name - from 10 letters that nobody could spell or pronounce (a good polish name) to 5 letters that nobody could ever screw up. ;)
